Posting some Pictures with stories:

Here is us working together at the Court House in McConnelsville, Ohio.  This was taken back in September when Jan came for a two week visit.  She has become the master organizer of the documents and in implementing the preparation procedure for the imaging of those documents. 

Here is a good picture of the camera stand and setup for imaging the documents.  The camera is located directly over head from the array or  shelf area below.  The camera height can be adjusted up or down depending on the size of the books or documents to be filmed.  The D-cam program that makes it all run is pretty phenomenal as it crops, sizes, and orients(through the use of x-keys) the document either vertically or horizontally.  To date, I have taken over two and half million images. 

Every so often, a document will appear where the tall edges have been glued together forming a large chain of single pages that irons-out to some pretty impressive lengths.  The one below measured out at over 8 feet in standing length, a new record!.  Since this picture was taken, another stack was prepared measuring 13 feet 8 inches!!  All of course accordion folded to fit in the case packets used for storage.  These documents are not filmable as seen, so they must be ironed, then carefully cut to size for filming.

These are pictures of our wonderful Granddaughter (Sister Brooklyn Shipley) outside the Denver Colorado Temple where she had just completed her own Endowment session.  Because of Covid-19, she was not attend the Nashville Temple prior to leaving for her mission.  One month into her mission the Denver Temple opened to living endowments, so Jamie and Anita received the call that Brooklyn would be able to receive her endowment.  They flew to Denver and accompanied her through the Temple.  I know it was a special time for all.
 

Here is Franklyn Christian and my pirate Brother Art Romero!  Art is recovering from eye surgery involving complex radiation and eradication of a cancerous tumor inside his left eye. The story in and of itself is miraculous.  He will never have perfect vision in that eye, but can see and the tumor is gone!! Franklyn---well, there is another miraculous story in itself also.  I met Frank through his electronic cell 

door at Salinas Valley State Prison in August 1998 during my introductory Prison Ministry assignment.  He was a 'lifer', a convicted murderer.  When I met him Art had been working with him for several years previous.  He was by then very favorably inclined toward the Church and the Savior, largely because his grandmother and wife at the time 10 years previous had sent a Bible and a Book of Mormon to him while he was incarcerated at Pelican Bay Prison in upstate California, a notorious level 5 penal institution, reserved for the truly hardened criminals.  Reading the scriptures touched him and upon his arrival at Salinas Valley, found Art conducting LDS services in his 'yard'.  Long story short, It was my privilege to watch Frank receive the Atonement of Jesus Christ in his life, and to see the metamorphosis from a convict to a convicted, converted follower of the Lord.  Fast forward to 2018.  Frank is freed and is paroled to the Merced California area where he establishes contact with the missionaries and local Church authorities.  He meets Annie, a non-member, at a meeting of some kind, they fall in love and get married.  The missionaries are teaching Frank and Annie gets interested in hearing them.  She is converted and is baptized this summer in a swimming pool of some local members who have befriended both Frank and Annie!  Frank is awaiting First Presidency Approval of rebaptism!  It is a sweet, sweet story of love and conversion.  And the story will continue...

Also attending the baptism were long time devoted Salinas First Ward members Ofa and Alai Nau.  Ofa is currently serving as 2nd Counselor in the Prison Branch Presidency-the Branch that I had the privilege of seeing organized in 2012 and served as a Branch Presidency Counselor for 3 years.  Of all the Saints that I have met, these two are the most Christ-like individuals that ever were.  

Here is Brother Pirate Art, the current Prison Branch President Doug Humble, Frank, and Ofa.  All had worked with Frank and were able, along with their wives, to attend Annie's baptism.

This is a recent article published in The Herald out of McConnelsville, Ohio.  Sara Hurst wrote the article.  Sara was a major document helper during our initial McConnelsville stay from May 2016 to April 2017.  She is a sweet soul and we became good friends.
